Traditional Meets contemporary
This project in Westwood renovated and reimagined the interiors of every room. While the bones of the house were traditional, Allison’s design seamlessly married the traditional architecture with decidedly contemporary interior design. The result – a refreshing and refined home with improved flow, a larger Primary Suite, better closet space and a whole new vibe.
Designed for a client and his sons who love to cook, entertain and kick back, Allison designed the streamlined kitchen and adjoining Family Room with that in mind. Fabrics are durable in a neutral palette of grays, black and whites and Allison allowed the colorful art, with its pops of green, yellow and chartreuse, to accent that palette bringing the outside in. In the Primary Bath, Allison evoked the classic styling of Hermes and Gucci when designing the marble mosaic backsplash border in a horse-bit motif above an expansive vanity of New Ravenna stone. The interior furnishings, rich in texture, and the handsome patterned tile selections establish a graceful masculinity that serves as a design through-line in every room of the house.

"Allison was my designer for the renovation of my regency style home in Little Holmby. The results were beyond my expectations. Allison transformed the home from a sleepy traditional house to a luxury transitional home."
Her eye for keeping the integrity of the home’s traditional character with contemporary touches brought the worlds together beautifully. Each gutted bathroom became its own piece of art. The tiles, wallpaper, and finishes are beautiful. While I had ideas of how I wanted to the home to appear, Allison took those ideas and elevated it tenfold. Allison is incredibly diligent while being creative and cost conscious.
And by the way, Allison always made every meeting, product selection and even during stressful construction decisions, a good time! I am beyond ecstatic with the results of my home renovation but could not have done it without Allison. Although it was a great deal of work, I would do it all again with Allison’s guidance.
