Tailored Remodel
To bring new life to this 1940s Valley ranch house, Allison’s design added 1000 square feet to the footprint to create a Primary Suite and reoriented the front door giving the home a real entryway with a wall of custom cabinetry. Incorporating the old with the new is an assignment Allison often tackles and this house was no exception. She improved the flow of the original floor plan, added new windows and doors throughout as well as an inventive Guest Bath with convenient access from both the house and the yard. The bath’s clever design is perfect for visiting guests and outdoor party revelers.
Allison’s design and color palette for the home was inspired by the classic blue blazer – dress it up or dress it down. The gold accents in the furniture and lighting serve as the brass buttons in this metaphor. The palette is cheerful and the tile and wall coverings are bold and memorable.
