This Stansbury Estates home needed a little extra room for teenagers and guests. The solution? Build a 900 square foot Guest House cleverly designed to maximize both the indoor and outdoor space of the new structure. The Guest House includes an open floor plan with a spacious sitting area, dining space and efficient kitchen. The indoor space flows naturally through the bi-fold doors of an 18 foot opening onto an outdoor living room beneath a pergola complete with fire pit, spa and ping-pong pavilion! The decor and palette of both the common areas and the bedroom/office and bath of the Guest House soothes the senses with its grays and whites and adds color with navy accents and splashes of fuchsia. Allison designed the hardscape for this project allowing the natural topography of the yard to define the Main House and Guest House areas respectively while aligning the two structures visually. By mirroring the materials and architectural details of the two houses, it appears as if both had been there from the beginning.
